Marc Carletti has joined mas as an associated partner in 2017 and focuses on growth strategies, digital transformation, banking technology and cyber-security in the financial services industry.
Marc has over 30 years of extensive international senior management experience in Information Technology and Financial Services and grew businesses in many continents with different cultures. Active in the FINTECH space he supports start-ups and is currently member of the advisory board of World Quant University: the first university to propose globally a master in financial engineering on-line.
In his most recent corporate role as EVP Global Banking for British Telecom Global Services based in New York, he managed international teams responsible for complex outsourcing and managed services touching all aspects of digital transformation for the capital market, wealth management and retail banking sectors. He also led the FSI strategy for the BT Group.
As CEO of SIX Telekurs Financial Information Ltd, he was responsible for a staff of 1’400 marketdata professionals and acted as member of the SIX (Swiss Infrastructure Exchange) Group Executive Committee.
Before that he has been active for 20 years in various management functions at Reuters such as President of Reuters Financial Software, Managing Director Reuters France, Managing Director Switzerland & Austria based in Zurich and Managing Director for Mexico and Central America. In these roles he helped many financial institutions to evolve and transform whilst increasing operational efficiency. Developing electronic trading platforms, supporting the transformation of the private banking sector and creating the first Internet based financial services.
Prior to joining Reuters he worked in marketing and sales for Hewlett Packard in Geneva and in the IT department of Banque Paribas.
Born in 1959, Marc obtained a Baccalauréat scientifique from the Lycée Stendhal in Milan. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration major in Information Technology from Geneva University in Switzerland. In 1995 he further developed his marketing knowledge by attending Advanced Industrial Marketing Strategy program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau. He has been member of the HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) Foundation in Paris.
Marc is a Swiss and French citizen and works in French, English, German, Italian and Spanish.
